Given the choice to live anywhere in the world, I’d pick the charm of the Norfolk coast every time. It’s been just over ten years since we first moved down from Yorkshire and we’ve finally settled into our dream rental property just a ten minute drive from the beach. That beach being my favourite on the entire Norfolk coast, Trimingham. It’s just as beautiful in midwinter as it is in the peak of summer, and looks completely different from one day to the next. It’s a bit of a hidden secret amongst locals, keeping it from becoming overrun with holidaymakers in the hotter months. The free parking is such a blessing when you fancy making a full day of it.
You’ll have to go a fair way down a dusty, rubble track before you get to a more civilised tarmacked road. Once you’re at the end, plenty of parking spots await directly next to the beach. In the summer holiday months, you’ll be met with turquoise waters and clear blue skies that rival the med.
Have you ever visited Norfolk? Where are your favourite spots?
