Kesgrave Hall, Suffolk

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Kesgrave Hall in Suffolk for a night in their best room. I’ve stayed at a lot of places in my time and I have to say that without a doubt this was the fanciest suite I’ve been in, you will see what I mean when you look at the photos below.

The suite is an absolutely huge room with a double sink area and bathroom to the left and a shower section off to the right, with a roll top bath placed in the middle for good measure. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about the room, it had just the right balance between a modern chic look and a cosy feel. The bed was also incredibly comfy and was like sleeping on a giant marshmallow, and I promise you that is no exaggeration.

The mini bar was stocked with complimentary local juices, I always love to see when posh hotels remember it’s the little touches that impress the most.

We had the most delicious food for dinner including a wild garlic risotto ball with panzanella salad to start, followed by mains of wild mushroom tagliatelle with truffle creme fraiche & pistachio pesto and cod rockefeller with tonka bean pannacotta & rhubarb sorbet for dessert.

For breakfast we decided that we just had to take full advantage of our beautiful room by ordering breakfast in bed and having a tray delivered to the room. Included was fresh croissants and toast, cranberry juice, smoothie shots and a meat free cooked breakfast, the perfect hangover cure for one too many cocktails in the bar the night before.

Kesgrave Hall are currently offering a great deal costing £100 per person including bed, breakfast and a three course dinner for a midweek overnight stay in the best room they have available at the time of booking. Otherwise, prices start from £125 for a standard room to £275 for the suite as featured in this post. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for a short romantic break then Kesgrave Hall ticks all of the boxes, I guarantee you will enjoy your stay just as much as I did!
