Goodie bag
Just over a week ago I was invited to my first ever fashion event as a blogger at Selfridges for the launch of ‘Destination Denim’. If you haven’t already heard about this, it’s basically a couple of weeks where Selfridges will be celebrating all things denim, including product launches, designer appearances, style advice and special events across all of their stores.
If you’ve ever thought about snapping up the pair of jeans from your dreams then there couldn’t be a more fitting occasion to get involved. I felt honoured to have been asked along to the launch event, I was included in a small group of journalists and bloggers that were let into Selfridges in the morning before it had opened to the public. It was quite a surreal experience as we were ushered into the deserted department store and led up to the third floor.
On arrival we were greeted with denim themed Lola’s cupcakes and fresh fruit as we were talked through ‘Destination Denim’ and all that it entailed. Afterwards we got to watch the jeans in action as some very flexible ladies performed some yoga moves to demonstrate the great fit of denim and how easily you could move in them. I was even treated to a Selfridges goodie bag (swoon) which included an amazing pair of Citizens of Humanity waxed skinny jeans, a canvas shopping bag, workout socks and a £100 All Saints gift voucher!
